The case of the missing cotton tail...is there a lawyer in the house?

DaDah! So here it is - Amelie's little Easter bloomers!

Amelie, seen here, is preparing for the little Easter morning tea I hosted at work for all my work mates' children.

You may recall from one of my Christmas posts from last year, my workplace is very family friendly and has a fantastic Christmas decoration competition each year...our work group made zero effort last year and after touring the building of all the wonderful Christmas decorations of other departments, our kids were left to colour in with highlighter pens and make collages with stationary stamps when they got to our work area so I felt that we owed them a little mid year excursion to work for an Easter celebration.




There was much fuss about wearing obligatory Easter stickers on tummy (despite no one being able to see said sticker), on the back of each hand...and nose. Except for the sticker on the tummy (which managed to stay on for a few days), all other stickers fell off in the car on the way to work. While we're on the subject of 'falling off', I should mention that Amelie's cottontail had fallen off her bloomers before this event and of course was no where to be found for me to reattach in time for the (bloomer reveal) morning tea....you will see my desperate, last minute...but disbanded attempt to make a new cottontail pom pom on the sofa in the background.


The little treats are in my Nigella Lawson mixing bowls. The bowls are a beautiful cream colour and in the shape of Easter eggs - perfect for Easter!...much more so than for using for every day baking - they weigh a ton!

"Where is my cottontail?...Is it over here?"

"Hmmm, missing cottontail! Must get to work preparing a report for the police....as soon as I finish eating this little chocolate egg."

I made some of those tissue paper pom poms to hang from our office ceiling - much brighter and festive than grey filing cabinets! They were a hit with the kids who loved jumping up to try and pull them down (successfully). This is Amelie's favourite photo from the day...she loved being chased by her friend Tara. After she saw this photo when we got home she would ask "More Tara?"
