Project Garden - Part 5
Once again, these garden photos are now quite old (so don't be alarmed that my husband is gardening in the middle of winter shirtless...it was actually a hot Autumn day...and involved a bit of hard work.. moving sandstone-Esq pavers and shoveling pebbles), but I am madly trying to play catch up in the exciting build up to the 'backyard/cubby house reveal'.
After waking from her usual midday nap, Amelie wasted no time to gather her gardening tools and her gum boots to join Daddy in the garden.
Amelie loves her gum boots and despite the fact that the torrential rain we had in Summer is thankfully no more, still insists on wearing them every time she's in the garden.... p.s. If you come across toddler sized gum boots in red, preferably with strawberries, let me know!
As self appointed Herb Garden/Vegetable Patch Project Manager, Amelie is always diligent in carrying out inspections and audits of Daddy's handy work...on this occasion, his work passed the test...
...until she was called to her sandpit for some more pressing work...when Daddy's handy work was done...we called Amelie up to help collect a bunch of very oddly shaped cucumber, our first (red) strawberries and some basil (for making pesto)...
...which someone loves to eat for morning tea (carrots store bought - gasp!...that will be our next gardening challenge....and yes Amelie is seen here eating her morning tea whilst still in her flannelet pajamas - double gasp!!)

cute! And what a healthy morning tea...wish I could get my two to eat like that!!
ReplyDeletegreat job on gardening. I got only 3 pepper plants to grow in my garden after so much work (and a week of neglect while on vacation). They are hard and a lot of work. Can't wait to see the big reveal.
