Things to do & projects to be distracted by

Before

Stage 1 - remove walls and kitchen (which was to the left of Amelie)

Stage 2 - create new door way to lead to deck

Stage 3 - new deck!

Stage 4 - French doors leading to deck and new window

Stage 5 - new walls

The builders have told us that we may be in our new home as early as 3 weeks. I am remaining quietly optimistic but will be surprised if this the case - see pictures above. However, if we are that close to completion...excuse me a moment..."arghhh!!!" (me screaming). I am so behind on all the projects we have planned.

So, in an attempt to feel more organised and to help me get (and stay) back on track, I have paused to take stock and list the things left to do. Over the next few weeks I am going to try and make at least a couple of posts a week on these outstanding projects...but I am also predicting that I will enjoy being distracted by other (Amelie related) projects.

A. House Projects

1. Spring clean current house and organise garage sale

2. find teal fabric and make ottoman covers x2

3. find natural coloured fabric and make dining chair covers x 8

4. cover pendant light fittings x4

5. buy study organisation things (attempt to look/feel more organised)

6. make study notice board

7. find/fall in love with or make art work for dining room

8. Make headboard for guest room bed

B. Amelie's Room Projects

1. find wooden hangers for new wardrobe

2. frame prints

3. paint miniature chairs white

4. make cushions for miniature chairs

5. make table cloth for miniature table

6. finish mini sofa cover

7. make corner chair cover

8. find the perfect rug

C. Amelie related projects (pleasant distractions)

1. make quilt and matching quilt for dolly

2. make dresses and matching dresses for dolly

3. make skirts and motif t-shirts for summer

4. make hair clips/accessories

5. make fabric broaches

6. make dress-up costumes for Amelie's Kindy class (aprons, super-hero capes, cow boy/girl vests)

7. make hand bag

D. Long standing/suffering to do list

I have many much loved girlfriends (you know who you all are) who have children who have all had hand-made gifts promised to them (I am ashamed to admit) for years now. My aim is to have all these projects finished before their children 21. In the meantime though, please know that these gifts, when do finally arrive, will come with much love xo
